Meet the Team

Eddie is the founder and President/CEO of Coastlend Mortgage. He has been originating loans since 2004. In 2006 he opened Coastlend Mortgage in San Diego, CA and in 2009 the company relocated its headquarters to Charleston, SC where it operates today.

He began his professional career with the Ritz Carlton Hotel where he was trained to embody the highest levels of customer service. Upon entering the mortgage industry, he quickly realized it was in dire need of a lender that could provide the same high level customer service, quality loan products and a positive experience for customers. Coastlend Mortgage has been changing the face of lending ever since.

Eddie is a graduate of Arizona State University. He lives in Charleston, SC with his wife and 3 beautiful daughters. He enjoys golf, CrossFit, the beach, scuba diving and spending as much time as he can with his family.

Eileen is a Senior Loan Officer at Coastlend Mortgage. She takes an active role in all approvals to make sure the process is moving along smoothly. She is committed to our client’s wellbeing by ensuring they get the loan that best fits their needs.

Prior to Coastlend Mortgage she worked at CNB Mortgage and NHSC. Eileen began her career as a loan officer in 2000 and has been helping families fulfill their dream of homeownership ever since.

Originally from Rochester, NY, Eileen is a graduate of the College at Brockport. She currently lives in Charleston, SC with her husband, Rick and their two children. She enjoys playing and coaching tennis, yoga, going to the beach, and spending time with her children.

Michael is a loan officer with Coastlend Mortgage. He is responsible qualifying clients, ensuring they understand their loan options, and collecting the documents needed to complete their loan approval.

Michael is a world traveler; Born in California, he has also had the pleasure of living in England, Canada, Barcelona, and currently lives in Charleston, SC.

Michael made the move down to the Low country from Canada where he is a graduate and former student athlete at Brock University. He is passionate about sports and spends most of his spare time playing rugby and ice hockey. Michael brings the same dedication and enthusiasm he has for sports into his role and duties at Coastlend Mortgage. His number one goal is to exceed his client’s expectations and help them achieve their mortgage and real estate goals.

Elizabeth is a loan officer with Coastlend Mortgage. She has a deep appreciation and respect for her work, and is honored to be a part of an industry that helps families invest their lives and livelihoods.  She firmly believes when she helps someone secure funding for a home purchase, she has helped them buy a piece of paradise.

A career in communications and sales has taught Elizabeth how to solve problems and best serve her client’s requests.  As a Loan Officer, getting clients to the closing table and witnessing the fulfillment of their goals gives her a satisfaction and purpose few other occupations can.

Elizabeth is a native South Carolinian, USC graduate and is proud to call Charleston home.  When she is not helping people get qualified for a loan, she enjoys spending her time at the wonderful beaches, boating, restaurants and nightlife.

Whitney Freeman is our Executive Assistant here at Coastlend Mortgage. She handles everything from supporting management, communication and customer relations, as well as coordinating our social media outlets and blog posts.

Whitney values connecting with clients and takes pride in making sure that each client receives the professional treatment he or she deserves. Whitney’s attention to detail and willingness to help makes her an incredible asset to our team.

Graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with her B.S. in Communication Studies, Whitney’s education focused on Interpersonal Communication and Marketing. She graduated as the Department Exemplar of her class, demonstrating excellent pride in her work. Whitney was born and raised in Charleston, SC. She is married to an active duty Marine, and volunteers with his military unit in her down time.

Ladonna is our head Processor. She has been processing loans for more than a decade and has seen the inside of a loan file more times than she would like to admit. She is detail oriented and extremely organized which are both must have qualities for this position.

She is responsible for making sure your loan moves through our underwriting department smoothly and efficiently so you can close on time. She’s in constant communication with our underwriters, the attorney and title company. There’s a good chance she’ll contact you for additional documents needed to expedite your loan closing. She will be your main point of contact once your loan is submitted and will remain your main point of contact through closing.

Ladonna is married to her husband, Doug, is a mother of 4 and grandmother to 4 as well. She currently resides in Murrell’s Inlet, SC. During her free time she loves spending time at the beach with her family.
